So I’m a sucker for wanting the best experience I can get? If someone can afford that experience and enjoys it there is no reason they should not do it. especially since I use the resources of the same pc for work and they come in handy.

As for gta5 itself I’m glad I bought it. It feels like a different game running at 60fps. It feels better. Everything is smoother, weapons are far more accurate, driving is a better experience. So its not just visuals that are better at 60fps its also gameplay. Also having the rendering distance maxxed out means I can complete missions in ways not possible on ps4. I can attack an area from a mile away (if i want) and the characters are all being drawn on screen.

If a superior experience costs a little more money I’ll gladly pay it.

How was GTAV a waste of money to buy on PS4. It looked great, it played great and it was a lot of fun. Job done. Time to move on. The PS4 has reached that sweet spot where games look and play superb without spending a fortune.

The problem is in your mind with you getting all anally retentive about the details. The GPU manufacturers are playing you for a sucker by continually upping the anti so you keep paying more and more for slight improvements.

Mature? I’ve been mature for quite some time and its because of that that I can afford to stay current. I just built a new pc about 4 weeks ago to the tune of $2900 and I’m already planning on upgrading in July with the AMD 390.

As for GTA I bit the bullet and bought it. Maxed everything out at 1080p with 4xMSAA and I’m averaging 60 fps with some dips down to about 45 with vysnc on. Driver updates will probably smooth that out since the dips don’t make much sense. I also heard there is an issue with ingame vysnc and I should shut it off and force it via my driver cp. I guess the game version isn’t Tripple buffering which causes random drops in frame rate.

I agree but it will cost you. GTAV on PS4 is not bust and not in urgent need of 60fps. It looks and plays great. Job done. If you can afford better, go for it. But you will be tied to upgrade costs of more than the price of a PS4, paid every year, in order to keep playing all those new games at 60fps.

Most people jump off that never ending treadmill when they mature and realise the world is not made up of black and white conflicts. Grey is valid as well and avoids costly diminishing returns.

The game looks and plays superb on PS4. Do you really need better. Just enjoy it and move on instead of getting all anally retentive about having the best. That’s the problem with the PC master race. They love drooling over the quality and reassuring themselves that they have the best available or they feel lame, with actually playing the game taking a back seat.

Ask yourself if you are you a gamer or a PC tech nerd just who loves the whole IT process.

Media professionals do not make content at low quality then scale it up. They create at high quality and scale down for each platform from the generic HD master. They don’t shoot a film in DVD quality then scale it up to bluray. Some websites were claiming that there will be no PS4 remaster because the game was made to target PS3/360 quality. Rubbish.

A project of this size would be targeted at PS3, 360, PS4 XB1 and PC from day one to recoup the huge development costs and make a huge profit.

I bought it on PS4 because I passed it up last gen and since I played it on ps4 I have no interest of buying pc version because you played it at least once already buying again in any form is just wasting money. If it was released on PC first then I would of never bought a console version period. PC>PS4>WiiU is my purchase order. I skipped xbox because anything on that system is also on PC.

True but it was also a waste of money to buy on ps4. I know ill buy it eventually, I also know it won’t drop in price for at least a year since it sells well every week.

Even so, for a slight increase on a game you bought 2x already would be a waste of money.
