I've been playing about a week. I was a fan of the original
Grid - I thought when they got it right, they really nailed it. Grid 2
is about the upgrade I was expecting - again, it has moments of
greatness (white-knuckle, bumper to bumper, edge-of-cliff, terrifying,
gravity-defying craziness) and some of the challenges are very rewarding
(unlocking the SL65 AMG, for example).

There are some
imperfections - the AI can be a bit inconsistent. One race, you'll be
leading easily by half way, the next, 10 out of the 11 other cars start
acting with one goal - to get in your way and let the leader build a
gap. Seriously - at times they show almost no interest in racing! This
forces you into a) adopting a seriously aggressive driving style and b)
relying too much on the flashbacks (which you can't turn off,
apparently).

Still, the best races are unlike anything else I've
raced on a console - the character of each car is fantastically
realized in the different feel and sound of each engine. Come to think
of it, I need to get back to it - I have an Ariel Atom to unlock. That
should be nuts! <a href="http://game-generator.org/" rel="nofollow">Gratis Games</a>
