Half-Life 3 will be the next part of the franchise.

And it’s a safe bet that Valve is working on it now, I wouldn’t put it past those sly dogs to magically come out of nowhere with Half-Life 3 in their hands.

Portal 2 also has to bridge the gap between the games. Since Gordon and Alyx were about to go to the Borealis before [spoiler removed]. So once Alyx breaks the news to Kleiner and recovers from [spoiler removed] they’ll be off. And with the Borealis being an Aperture Science ship, that means that Half-Life is bridging the gap, and it’s likely that Portal will be it half way.

Lol well congratulations you just proved you’ve never played Half life 2: Episode two. Considering the Borealis is a Aperture Science Research Vessel (FYI: Aperture Science is in portal as well) is actually indeed in Half Life 2 and is mentioned towards the end of Half Life 2:Episode two as the place you’re going to next. So nice one there. Lol.
