It’s a shame that those European trademarks for Half Life 3 turned out to be fake. It’s also a shame that for all we’ve learned about Valve Software having two teams working on Half Life 3, there’s still little to nothing we know about the game itself. Regardless, it’s good to know that the demand for a new Half Life is still alive, with quality Machinima such as Raise the Bar reminding us why we fell in love with the series to begin with. Raise the Bar is a sort of retelling of the events of Black Mesa in the original game. It showcases how different characters – from Barneys to scientists – used the iconic crowbar in their last moments. It’s somewhat poetic and also fairly gruesome. The question is: Does the G-Man raise the bar? You’ll need to watch to find out.
For those keeping track, it’s now been more than six years since the release of Half Life 2: Episode 2, with still no Half Life 3. And thus the wait continues.
