I'm getting tired of developers not putting consideration into campaigns and just slapping them in as a tutorial for multiplayer! It pisses me off when they use campaign viewings in trailers and shit, and in videos where they talk all this BS about "bigger environment, long campaign, etc.(huh, my ass)" but when the game comes out, it's short as hell, and they're just using it to show off their graphics and scenery(which we sometimes don't get to explore). Bungie played that shit with us before Reach came out, as with many games, and they all fall behind these styles:
*Linear
*Scripted
*Way too many cut-scenes
*Action seen in cut-scenes but not in gameplay
*Boring
*Simplistic
Developers have forgotten what releasing games is about: respect. It's heartbreaking. Not everyone has access to the internet, and not every gamer prefers multiplayer, there's single player gamers out there too for fucks sake. Atleast give gamers a reason why you made a campaign mode, not just for quantity and quality with your pretty little graphics.
Single Player is dead, no more good games with single player campaigns like Unreal, Quake or Soldier Of Fortune. Now, we got games coming out with annoying ass 3-10 hour campaigns and only between 10-20 missions. You know what's saddening, is that they think the levels being long determine how long the campaign is? NO! It's HOW many levels there are.
This is the main reason why I never play current gen games anymore. And if you're not gonna take the time to make a desirable campaign, THEN DON'T MAKE IT AT ALL!
