This is a huge loss for gamers with families, wives or partners and in-person friends. It’s an anti-consumer move and a disservice to Halo fans.
In software development, game development and any computer-driven production environment, there is no legitimate “can’t”. “It can’t be done” is shorthand for “someone has decided that we are not going to focus our (human) resources at that issue.
I don’t think 343i/MS realize how many fans they are robbing of a new Halo experience, and I hope it bites them in the pocketbook.
-Don’t buy Halo 5 at retail… get it used or rent it or borrow, whatever, but don’t reward developers for taking important features from their fans.

Proper development would make it so that 1080p/60fps would take place in single player mode, with 30fps and possibly a slightly lower resolution (900p) for split-screen mode. This is how it's been done for a while, and 343 shouldn't hide behind made up technical limitations as an excuse not to do it

Screw sony, screw microsoft, screw 343, screw bungie. The best way to truly game now is having a good PC and a wiiu. There’s no need for an Xbone or ps4.

Only thing I’ve used split screen for in the past 10 years is to get certain achievements. It’s really going the way of the dodo anyway with online having taken over that problem.

Where did I disagree about “voicing ur opinion”? It’s one thing to ask Josh Holmes why they made the decision, and ask if they’d consider it. It’s another thing to scream “I’M CANCELLING MY PREORDER!” 100 times to Josh Holmes’ Twit lol. Go look @ his page. If u cancel it, THEN JUST DO IT! If you’ve spoken ur mind, fine, but to take to posting screens of ur cancellation is brattish, PATHETIC, for a supposed fully matured brain. Again, a part of being an adult, is, to take things u cannot change and move on. Of course u speak up, with voice & ur money. But there comes a point when people start getting childish, and whining and crying. Split screen isn’t in Gaurdians, what now? Whine more to Josh, or move on?

Are u gonna support Halo 5 that has no split screen, so they do the same in Halo 6? Nah that’s irrational right? So when do u move on to other options? Personally I say what I need to about stuff, but then I keep it moving….I thought that was logical.

Being an adult doesn’t mean taking the punch and moving on. These people (including myself) do not support their decision, and they are making that known with their wallets. Maybe it’s not a big deal to you, and that’s fine, but it is to many people. The adult thing to do would be to at least look at it from our perspective. I’m sure if it was the other way around, and split screen was being put in at the expense of graphic and stability issues, you would be upset in the same way that we are now. My argument is that it is 2015 and there is no reason we can’t have both, or reduced graphics during split screen only.

Also you tell me to pick up Star Wars or cod instead, but how long will those remain split screen? Halo has been for over 10 years up until now. What’s to stop cod from doing the same if we don’t voice our disagreement? Better yet, why would they care as long as we continue to buy the game? Think about it.
