I’m just acting out of concern for my Xpals. It’s been a bad gen for Xbox and Halo 5 was already a disappointment. I worry that another round of failure might just be too much. 🙁

Looks like my ESL Xpal doesn’t like the reality of MS’ constant mismanagement of its own projects leading to delays, cancellations, extended development periods and disappointment.

Of course, he then has to deflect with the new boss “exploring microtransactions” (something many F2P and MP first-party games already have which are non-intrusive) against the rumblings of Halo 6 being built around loot boxes likes Battlefront 2 was. 🙂

Yeah, I played Halo 5, didn’t buy one loot box, and had everything unlocked (eventually) despite the numerous free content additions. I never felt like I was at a disadvantage from not buying req packs either. This was definitely a well done microtransaction system that actually benefited the players by funding the additional development (e.g. added weapons, vehicles, and maps).
