Epic Games is currently hard at work on a new Unreal Tournament game, the revival of their classic arena shooter franchise, that will be crowdsourced in its development. Today, we got to see over 20 minutes of new gameplay footage of the game, which showed us just how much the game seems to be channelling the original Unreal Tournament. Which is great. Which is very, very great, which is exciting.
Of course, all of this footage is also pre-alpha, so it doesn’t reflect what the final game will be like. The game will continue to develop and change and evolve and grow, and the final game is, for starters, probably going to look graphically much better than this footage does right now.
Unreal Tournament is due out only on PC soon; it is one of the games Epic Games is currently working on, the other being Fortnite, a free to play PC arena shooter.
