This War of Mine promises us something truly different- like Ubisoft’s Valiant Hearts, that released earlier this year, This War of Mine promises us a unique take on war. In this case, we are being promised to be shown the civilian perspective of a battlefield. The game is a stark survival game, set in a city under siege during wartime, and follows just a band of people who find their daily lives rent apart by a war that they have nothing to do with and would really rather have no part of, as they try to make do and survive the death and destruction around them.
It promises to tell us a very unique, genuinely meaningful story, in a way that only games can potentially tell narratives- and I am interested to see how this take on wartime translates to gameplay as well.
If you want some more convincing, check out the trailer for yourself, and stay tuned to GamingBolt. This War of Mine launches on November 14.
