Switch has an awful long way to go to match the PS4 total sales. The days of the Wii attracting huge masses of casual gamers with a gimmick are over. The casuals have moved onto smart phones and tablets. That just leaves the Nintendo niche market, which is not big enough to match the PS4 total sales.

You keep throwing in your personal opinion without backing it up with facts. The PS4 Pro was not a flop. I have one and it’s a fantastic game console. 1 in 5 PS4 sold is Pro. It’s an elite system that does not cost the earth for those that want it. Only the XB1X beats it, but not by much if you are still on a 1080p TV, as most of us are.

Sony are in no panic to launch the PS5. Their console gens are linked to the TV resolution gens. They do not rush stuff out as a reaction. They plan well ahead with a long term vision. PS4 was a 1080p console for the 1080p TV gen and the PS4 Pro is a mid gen upgrade for 4K early adopters and those that want better graphics with a smoother frame rate. We are still in the 1080p TV gen.

When more people have a 4K TV than a 1080p TV, then we will be in the 4K TV gen. That will happen around 2019-2020. And guess what. Sony are bringing out their 4K console at that time called the PS5. Oh what a coincidence. Do you think Sony had inside information, because they actually make the TV’s and know exactly when they can offer high quality 4k HDR gaming TV’s at a low price which will prompt mass adoption.

Japan is not a big market and they are part of the niche market that Nintendo play to. There is a huge global market of adults wanting to play western adult games and Nintendo cannot tap into that. Not many adults want to play a Mario cartoon. I had my fill of those with Sonic when I was young because we had nothing else. Yes Nintendo can do well with their niche market of kids and adults wanting to relive their Nintendo childhood.

When did GT Sport drive off a cliff. It plays really well and has fantastic graphics, but it’s basically a prologue to GT 7 focusing on multiplayer. Not exactly driving off a cliff.

All the fantastic PS4 exclusives dating back to day one are a huge incentive to buy a PS4 if you have been missing out this gen.

Then they show bias to the Switch, claiming it has 2 great exclusives and Sony has none apart from GT Sport. Errr hello… if you are buying a console for the first time, every exclusive from day one is new to you and important. The Last Of Us Remaster, Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn are 3 of the best games ever made on any platform, and exclusive to PS4.

Just because a game is not new to the author does not mean it’s not new to a gamer buying a console for the first time. It looks like the authors brain is working overtime trying to manufacture good reasons why the Switch will sell well, while conveniently avoiding common sense.

The only person I ever see banging on about sales is you do u own some junk status shares in sony or something. If the switch sells more than the ps4 you’re sales angle is gone and now you’re power angle is gone the x has it suppose u have you’re single player 8 hour 1 and done exclusives too cling too

when a gamer is considering buying a game like blazblue cross tag battle or dragon quest xi…. the switch version will outsell by a mile the ps4 version. those gamers will flock to the more popular and versatile platform.

switch is easily surpass ps4 sales. especially since sony is in panic mode trying to rush out the ps5… u know, because the pro was a flop.

the switch is destroying the ps4 in sales in japan. also Mario + Rabbids and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are not firt-party exclusives. you sony chimps are clueless.

after gran turismo sport drove off a cliff, there is little reason to buy a ps4 this holiday season. COD, destiny, AC and Battlefield all run and look better on xbox one x and pc.
