It’s not Victoria 3, unfortunately.

Paradox Development Studios only just released Imperator: Rome, its grand strategy title that essentially serves as a follow-up to Europa Universalis: Rome. Despite this, publisher Paradox Interactive has confirmed that a new grand strategy title will be revealed at PDXCON. The event will take place on October 19th and 20th in Berlin.
In a recent video, Hearts of Iron 4 game director Dan Lind said, “In October, we’re going to take all of [Paradox Development Studios], stuff ourselves into a big airplane, and go to Berlin. I’m also told we’re announcing something.” Unfortunately, it’s not Victoria 3, according to Crusader Kings 2 director Henrik Fåhreus.
Still, the possibilities are endless. With Stellaris moving to 64-bit support, could we possibly see Stellaris 2 announced? Will there be a new Hearts of Iron or Crusader Kings? It may also be a brand new game altogether, so you never know.
This isn’t to say that Paradox Development Studio isn’t busy with other things. It’s releasing a new DLC pack for Stellaris called Ancient Relics and updating Imperator: Rome. DLC continues to be released for Europa Universalis 4 and Hearts of Iron 4.
