Injustice Comic Writer Teases Something Coming For Franchise

Could this be a precursor to an Injustice 3?

No one knew quite what to expect for sure when it was announced years ago that NetherRealm Studios, the madmen behind the Mortal Kombat series, would be making a DC-themed fighter called Injustice: Gods Among Us. Thankfully, the game ended up being quite good, and its sequel, Injustice 2, was a strong step up. Now, it seems something new is coming.

The Injustice games also had a comic book tie-in that helped fill in narrative gaps and continue the story from NetherRealm’s fighters. The writer of that series, Tom Taylor, has started to tease something happening with the franchise, posting on his official Twitter letters I and N. It’s clearly using the Injustice font and beginning to spell out the word.

It seems unlikely that a full blown Injustice 3 would be announced in this manner, but we do have reason believe third game is in development for PS5 and Xbox Series X. So even if this is a new comic continuation, it’s probably not too far off to bet it could tie in to a potential game sequel. We’ve got a few more days before Taylor finishes spelling things out for us, so we’ll let you know then.
