If you care about the quality of a game, the last thing you should be hoping for is for it to go multi-platform.

Imagine Uncharted being raped to cater to the deficiencies of the 360? YIKES!!!!

Resistance FoM and 2 were great games in their own right, though I do agree that Insomniac kind of lost their way with R2. However, I absolutely disagree with your comment on Resistance: Retribution. RR was a great game, and one of the best PSP titles without a doubt.

Had Sony done some proper, heavy marketing- which is their job, being the publishers and distributors-, I'm sure R3 would have sold a lot more, which is what it really deserved.

Yep, R3 was a great game, and I really wanted it to sell well. But oh well, it doesn't have that appeal.

Insomniac only have themselves to blame for the lackluster sales of R3. It took them 3 titles to get resistance to a point where it was decent and it lost so many people along the way. People don't jump into a series on the third game and if they research R1/2 or the PSP title, they'll be let down. That's why R3 doesn't sell. Shame, R3 improves on the franchise A LOT.

The fact that it's PS3 exclusive means nothing. Sony owns the copyright to the series and thus IT wouldn't be shifting around and with new products, it's still Insomniac at the helm... if you make mediocre games... you're going to get mediocre sales regardless of which or how many platforms you release on.
