Worst selling handheld Nintendo’s ever made means very little. It’s handhelds have always been enormously successful- and the 3DS, while not the success you expect of Nintendo handhelds, has nonetheless been a smash hit.

Also, discontinuing it after 4 years? We have no reason to believe this. Nintendo hasn’t told us when NX is coming out. And one of the few things they did tell us about it seemed to suggest it would not replace Wii U or 3DS, but rather be added to Nintendo’s consoles on the market.

LOL Mixed statements about the 3DS, with one being the lowest selling handheld, yet it’s selling so well, it’s printing money! I believe you mean the DS was selling so well, it was printing money- same with the Wii. The 3DS is actually dropping in sales every year since 2013, and if it continues into fiscal 2016 (begins April 1, 2016), then there’s a chance the Wii U could OUTSELL the 3DS!! It’s not looking good on either front for current Nintendo, that’s why they’ve gone back to the drawing board.
