I think there was a similar kind of strife like the one Konami had with Kojima. In both their cases they seem to be becoming popular and the main face of their respective companies, Itagui’s games put Tecmo on the map and made them quite profitable it also established a strong partnership with MS. Itagaki capitalized on the power of the original Xbox for Ninja Gaiden ,and the DOA series and all of a sudden he was like one of the pillars of Xbox this might have threaten the leaders if they feared he might attempt a take over also it was said he was arrogant.
As for games I also would hope for a triple A partnership with MS or EA as I think that will be best.

He wasn’t kicked out he left because he had a falling with the Tecmo head. As for NG it hasn’t been good since he left and doesn’t seem to be a hot commodity for Tecmo any more.
