Kane and Lynch was okay, but I didn't like it enough to warrant a purchase for the sequel. After reading this review, my apprehension has been reaffirmed. This game is a complete no-no for me.

The effects/filters were really surprising and disappointing.
I had the demo crash on me a dozen times before I saw gameplay.
So for almost 2 hours the only thing I saw was the Intro screen. The background environments of the intro screen looked great! They had an overlaid effect but the color still shone through. It looked awesome! The apartment window overlooking the city! The overcast sky between the 2 buildings and the BIG JET LANDING!!! AWESOME!
The highway scene! Look SO GOOD.

Then I finally got to play the game, The effect overlay sucked ALL THE LIFE out of the game. It was a million times more enjoyable when I turned that off. That and the shaky-camera. It felt like a drunk was holding the camera. I take steadier footage with my cellphone!

I was a huge fan of the first game and reading your review this one sounds very similar. a lot of your complaints are very much your opinion (which as it's your review you are entitled to) not 100% bad things such as the camera/filters they can immerse you in the experience or they could irritate you as you found. the inaccurate guns can make you feel like you are lynch and the adrenaline is still pumping strongly through your veins (reference to kal1) or can make you feel like the game is sloppy. Basically i don't want to just say "you didn't get it" but for people reading this review please give this a try i want another sequel.
