“By putting it simply,” he continues, “surely everyone lives while feeling the emotions in someone else’s heart, and they should all be on their own adventure. With that in mind, Sora is just like any other boy. From here on, just like everyone else, Sora will have many experiences, and as he experiences empathy he surely will grow, but I think he will remain a normal boy in everyone’s hearts.”

I see what he's trying to say here, but as it stands, we all know that Nomura will layout developments in Sora's character that contradict this perceived simplicity that everyone has of him. Yes rn at this very moment he's just a normal boy you could say doing extraordinary things, but in time he will endure trials and tribulations that not only change him emotionally but psychologically also as he gains wider perspective and greater understanding. Yes he's a normal boy who was thrown into all this, we will always remember he started that way, but at heart, he will become a very different person we don't recognize or see how far he's come. And how that forces him to adapt to his environment and situations in time.

Nomura says we will always supposedly see him as a normal boy on this adventure, but the opposite is just as if not more true. Sora has lost his ignorance that he now fully sees everything and what he has to do, but once he loses his innocence like Riku did....will be entirely different story. And I'm excited for it. Nomura is very sly with details, so whether or not Sora, chooses to embrace his future, this story will be very dark, and change Sora so he's never the same. At heart he was just a boy that never asked to be thrown into the Keyblade War, yet conversely at heart he will become a man of conviction that pushes himself forward with the resolve to fight for his friends and forge his destiny. This will be the most dramatic development of Sora we've ever seen. Nomura always understates the obvious - how he builds hype but contrarily makes me more interested. Still gotta play Final Chapter Prologue to get hints. He's a normal boy we can relate to and grow with, but doesn't mean he will remain the same forever - even after KH III.
