The wait for it to come to Europe was ridiculously long, but in the end I’d say it pretty much knocks 1.5 remix out of the water. There are loads of final mix extras to make kingdom hearts 2, which I played the heck out of, feel fresh, and the orchestral music really is fantastic! (Seriously, just listen to the new ‘home of dragons’ on YouTube, or compare the old and new ‘he’s a pirate’s)
As for birth by sleep, I’m playing it for the first time and it’s brilliant, it’s the closest we’ll get to kingdom hearts 3 in a long time. Even the story is still pretty easy to follow.
I havent watched the recoded cutscenes, yet. But since it actually has Disney worlds and fight scenes (arguably the two most important parts of kingdom hearts) it can’t POSSIBLY be any worse than the 358/2 days cutscenes. I consider recoded a nice bonus to an already great collection.
