Yeah, I always assumed that even though he didn't plan on GZ, he made the best of it(it was likely a corporate decision pushed down on him). And what an amazing job he did. It probably shouldn't have been made, but he made it so enjoyable nonetheless.

Anyways, excited for this trailer. I assume it will launch next Monday or Tuesday to lead up to the final week till launch. That'll make that last week easier to bear!

Agree. It's clearly built specifically as a direct portion of the overarcing story that makes TPP what it is. Meaning if you didn't play it you could still understand TPP's premise but you'd still be left out of the true experience, like missing that one puzzle piece.

We also have to remember that Kojima wasn't initially planning to release GZ seperately. We don't know what the exact motive was to make that move but theres nothing we can do about that. Besides if you're a PlayStation Plus member you were given a free download chance of GZ back in june, so people need to leave it be.

You can't change my opinion, this is still an overpriced demo of TPP to me and always will.

I've always thought GZ was great for completionists, not so great for 'one and done playthrough' crowd. Ground Zeroes has a ridiculous amount of replayability relative to it's 'main story' completion time(and I really emphasize 'relative', because even I admit it's main story mission was short). Even int hat small single 'zone' stage, Kojima packed so much effort into it and it's layered with much more nuance and design than we see out of the average 'AAA' over here in the west.

It's much more than any demo that I've ever played in my life(when was the last time you got 50 hours out of a demo by completing all of it's content and 's-ranking' things). Calling it a 'demo', when it's fashioned in a way that is unmistakably like a game, an area that is complete in it's own way, no mechanics locked and it's own story arc within itself....all purely because of 'length', is disingenuous. It means we need to have a serious talk about what an average 'video game demo' is, since we've forgotten what that's like with developer's opting to simply release their games without demos these days...

Was it priced to high? Definitely, I would have preferred to see 10-15 dollars starting price, but even being a fraction of the experience from the main game, it's still a complete experience in itself and I enjoyed every minute of it(the most important part).
