How about instead of trying to cram as much insanity into a game as possible, they dial it down a scoatch and try to actually make me believe its real, with some photorealism. Just a real character, walking around in real deserted ruins in a real desert. Then have some real enemies pop out to make it challenging. THEN, work up to batshit insanity. What a fucking concept.
