When walking out of your house you are not being charged or is there an option to pay five bucks for chance at something better for walking out of your house

Yup all that is gambling however we’re talking about gambling as a game for monetary gain. You are paying to play against the odds,the odds you’ll recieve a prize,the odds you’ll get the $20,000 or the $500 sub-prize or $1,the odds your lootcrate holds that skin you want or that legendary weapon. You mentioned eating out at a restaurant and you don’t know if it’ll contain salmonella,well that’s not gambling. The difference is you are paying to get the food you asked for so therefore you know you aren’t getting salmonella. Same with paying for school,you are paying for an education. Those are specific things you are paying,gambling as a game you are not. You’re not paying $5 for $20,000 or a car when you buy a lotto ticket are you?

I had this argument with him already and it lasted 3 days lol… He doesn’t seem to understand that without the win or lose aspect , its not gambling.. My point was if you’re not losing your money or winning anything , it’s not gambling…

I rather government not be involved in my hobby. I rather the market speak for itself, people buy what they like or don’t buy what they don’t like same as they did for battlefront 2 I’m sure it’s sales sent a chilling message to EA and the industry.

oh then walking out your house is a gamble because you don’t know what life is going to throw at you. how about eating out a restaurant, since you don’t know if the food you paid for will come with salmonella. maybe you should never bring your kids to a county fair, chuckycheese or the like.
better yet maybe you should not pay for your kids to go to school because you don’t know exactly what they’ll come out to be. correct? you are paying to take a gamble in hopes that they’ll turn out to be somebody or have a decent living…..sounds like gambling to me.

Sure it is. Do you know exactly what you’re getting in them? No? You are paying to take a gamble at a rare item and hoping you don’t get screwed. Sounds like gambling to me.
