Luigi’s Mansion 3 Gameplay Revealed At E3 2019, Shows Off New Mechanics and Setting

Get a look at Luigi's latest romp through a ghostly hotel.

Nintendo took the time to do a pretty comprehensive gameplay reveal for their upcoming Switch exclusive title, Luigi’s Mansion 3, showing everything from the setting, to plenty of footage, to new mechanics, and a lot more.

New abilities of the Poltergust were shown off (including one that lets you smack ghosts around for one), while Professor E. Gadd’s latest invention was also revealed- Gooigi. He’s Luigi, but made of goo. He can slip through gates and slide through cracks, but water is his greatest enemy. Gooigi can also be controlled by another player in co-op. Another co-op mode was also shown off- the eight player co-op ScareScraper, which looks suitably chaotic and fun. Take a look at it all below.

The haunted hotel setting looks pretty cool too, and the visuals and the art style will appeal to fans of the series as well. Sadly, Nintendo didn’t confirm a release date- Luigi’s Mansion 3 is still due out on the Switch in 2019. More information will be coming from Nintendo Treehouse at E3 following the Direct presentation.
