Luigi’s Mansion 3 is releasing in a week, and ahead of its launch, the game’s first review has gone live, in the latest issue of Famitsu. With three scores of 8/10 and one of 9/10, the Japanese gaming magazine has given the upcoming action adventure Switch exclusive a total score of 33/40.
Via Japanese Nintendo, we also have interesting details on impressions from the review. The first reviewer praised the game’s environments, which inherently encouraged curiosity and exploration, while also praising the game’s co-op gameplay. The second reviewer praises the game’s comedy horror style and its puzzles, while also singling out new mechanics like Gooigi and the slam move.
The third reviewer also praises the game’s exploration, while mentioning that though it’s still very much cut from the same cloth as its predecessors, its been updated and expanded upon enough to keep it from feeling outdated. Finally, the fourth reviewer praises the game for its humour and its pacing, while also mentioning the enjoyable minigames in the ScreamPark multiplayer mode.
