Luigi’s Mansion Remake Will Release On the Nintendo 3DS On October 19

Nintendo have confirmed a release date for the previous announced remake.

Nintendo has confirmed before that they plan to continue supporting the 3DS even into its eighth year, and they’ve really stuck to their word. Among the surprising number of games that have been announced for the 3DS in recent months, one of the most prominent has to be the remake of the Gamecube classic, Luigi’s Mansion.

And we now have a release date for it as well. Nintendo has now announced that the game will release for the 3DS on October 19. For those of you who don’t remember, the original Luigi’s Mansion had released back in 2001 for the Gamecube. Its sequel, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, did very well on the 3DS, both critically and commercially, so it seems like a perfect system to make this remake for.

The remake of the game will come with some new features, like a boss rush mode, an in-game map that will be displayed at the bottom of the screen, and also some updated visuals (of course). In Luigi’s Mansion, Mario has gone missing, and it’s up to Luigi to search for him in a huge mansion that is haunted by ghosts. This is, of course, the first time the game is coming to another platform, and hopefully, a lot of players who skipped it when it first launched will be able to experience it.
