Yeah that’s true. They must be planning on addressing these issues later on during the life span of these consoles. I wonder how considering how low the specs are for both consoles for a 4k output to be displayed. I think the steam machine may be better suited so far it has the highest specs over any other console.

Resolution is the enemy of graphics the higher the resolution the more graphics power your gonna need to match the resolution or it’s gonna look terrible.

Sony has never been known as easy to program for and you forget that the ps3 was technically better than the 360 and the 360 won in comparison of games all the time. Plus you add the fact that the cloud rendering adds way more computing power than that 40 percent you claim.

Xbox is actually easier to develop for because they went with the far more common DDR3 instead of GDDR5 like PS4 and the 50% more powerful thing is a rumor

Maybe, but I just don’t buy it right now. The PS4 has had dev kits out longer, it’s supposedly easier to develop on yet the launch games are both on par with each other. It just doesn’t make sense. But as you said, who knows what happens later on in the product life cycle. Both systems will have dramatically improved graphics.

Don’t take me as a Sony basher by any means. I have both current-gen consoles and enjoy each for different reasons. I love the Playstation exclusives and I love the Xbox controller and UI.

Yes, I’ll be getting the Xbox One first this generation because I think it has more to offer me. I understand that isn’t necessarily true for everyone. I really like the idea of having my cable go through it and having all of my media accessible through one UI. The other reason I’m going Xbox One first is because of the launch lineup. In my opinion, the PS4 lineup is pretty weak outside of KZ. My guess is I’ll probably pick up a PS4 (and feed it through my Xbox) once ND and the other Sony developers come out with the good stuff.

I’m very excited for the next-gen in general as I’m sure we all are.

i’m quite confident most skeptics & sony gaming platform bashers will simmer down within the first few years time of PS4’s 10 product life cycle & the gap will widen in that time frame between PS4 & XBO will be obvious to all.

P.S.Look i was born a nerd/gamer who has owned,played lived through multiple generations of gaming since the nes age so not much impresses & or surprises me these days in gaming.

If I’m not what? Bashing consoles? I responded to clear up that I was not bashing consoles. Your comment seemed to target me as a PC gamer. I’m not nor have I ever been one. I just get sick of little kids coming on and talking about the “power” of the PS4 over the Xbox One. The proof of parity is in the games. If the PS4 is so powerful, why don’t the games look any better than Xbox One?
