Mario Kart 8 Deluxe refuses to lose momentum, and is not only continuing to sell at an impressive rate (with nearly 54 million units sold worldwide as of the end of March), but has also seen frequent DLC releases. March saw the launch of its fourth wave of Booster Course Pass content, but with two more waves left in the pipeline, how long will it be till the next one launches?
While a concrete release date still hasn’t been announced, it apparently won’t be too long before Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pass launches. Taking to Twitter via its official Canadian account, Nintendo recently published a promotional tweet for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and its DLC pass, and confirmed that Wave 5 of the pass will be coming “soon”. That is, of course, still pretty vague, but at least it’s indication that the kart racer’s next DLC drop is around the corner.
Booster Curse Pass Wave 5 will, like the previous four waves, add two new cups for players to race through, which will include eight new tracks. Wave 4 also added a new character to the game in Birdo, and it seems Nintendo is planning on adding five more over the remaining two waves, but it remains to be seen how many will arrive with Wave 5.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is available on the Nintendo Switch.
