If you want to play the upcoming Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch largely on the go, the good news is that the system is capable of allowing that- the battery life on the Switch won’t be taking much of a hit when you play the game, and you can expect the standard 3 hours of battery life when you play it.
This means that at, say, a gathering with friends or a party, you can play some split screen Mario Kart or battle mode for a full three hours before your system dies on you (and if you are playing any longer than that, you want to reassess and reevaluate the gathering).
That said, I doubt anyone who has a Switch will complain about the battery life in this case, especially since this is in line with its previous big game, Breath of the Wild. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launches on the Nintendo Switch on April 28.
