We already know that third parties are finally finding a welcoming and accepting audience to hawk their wares to on a Nintendo platform with the Nintendo Switch, and it seems that Ubisoft is no different on that count. In fact, their primary Switch showing, the excellent strategy game Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, apparently was the highest selling third party Switch game in 2017.
Ubisoft noted that the game is continuing its success this year, too, with a successful launch in Japan this year, where it has shown surprisingly resilient legs. Ubisoft confirmed that its other Switch games, such as Just Dance, did very well, too.
They also confirmed that they are looking to grow their relationship with Nintendo, promising that more games for the Switch would come- though declining to comment on exactly what they might be either way. Hopefully, their future Switch efforts are as inspired and high quality as Kingdom Battle was.
