It's one of those things that are now common with games.
Do you thank them for taking the time after a release to fix these problems, or should they be condemned for having these problems when released to begin with?
The answer feels like it should be both.

Hopefully Mass Effect's flop in sales will bring us one step closer to publishers and developers finally learning the obvious-to-everyone-but-them lesson to complete polishing your game before release.
And they can't use the excuse games these days are complicated. While no game is perfect, look at Grand Theft Auto 5. It had no overly game crippling glitches.
More recent, look at Horizen Dawn. Look at Uncharted 4.
Fixing a game after release means I can't trust you and won't buy your game for at least 6 months when and if I hear confirmation you've patched it to a good running state, at which point you run the risk if I'm still inerested in the game, as well as finding it on sale, cutting deeply into any profit you could have had if I bought it new at release.
Wise up, idiots. Stop pretending to be surprised or confused as to where your sales have gone.
They're gone because you're putting out sloppy efforts on a technical level.
