While the PlayStation Vita may still be suffering worldwide – forget about Japan, where it constantly plays second fiddle to the Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL – the latest Media Create Sales via Gematsu show the PlayStation Brand out in full force for this week’s software sales.
This week, the PlayStation 3 saw a new entry with Gundam Breaker which sold 200,564 units in its first week, and took the top position across all formats. Toukiden was in second and fourth place, with the action adventure selling 122,794 units on the PlayStation Vita and 66,016 on the PlayStation Portable respectively. Atelier Escha & Logy: The Alchemist of Dusk Sky premiered at fifth with 57,550 units sold.
However, the 3DS still put up a fight with Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl debuting this week with 88,278 units sold. Nonetheless, it’s still in third place behind Toukiden. So for one week out of several months, the PlayStation Vita has emerged the victor.
