How can you possibly complain about a game having too many weapons? I usually complain about the opposite.

I thought the camo system in MGS4 was absolutely perfect. You criticized having to "wait for octocamo to react to the environment." It literally takes 2 seconds. The alternative would be: You are a ghost, and no one can ever see or hear you.

That said, I absolutely agree with getting rid of the multiple installs and extremely long cutscenes. I'm pretty sure you spend more time watching scenes than playing the game in MGS4. Especially at the end. It's like 2 hours of straight cutscenes. They were cool story-wise, but it should have been condensed.

Oh, and there is no place for multiplayer in Metal Gear Solid. Maybe co-op. Maybe.

Go play some Gears of War and seriously leave MGS alone.
You want to remove every good feature and bring in the cancer that's killing video games.

YAYY forced co-op deus ex machina! Every door must be activated by TWO levers, ever building has TWO paths etc.
Online is a funny add, but it should be standalone and just an add on, not the main point like in CoD or Gears.

Everything else is "pleeease remove those features, they make the game harder for mee".

How are added features a negative point?

I completely disagree with this article. Multiplayer or co-op in mgs? You have missed the point of the whole series. It is a story driven game not some run of the mill cookie cutter adventure.

I must say, I completely disagree with all the points you noted unfortunately. I would first ask you if you are certain that you actually enjoy the mgs series- I ask because out of the 10 changes you would like implemented in mgs going forward, 5 of them are core features of the series; and even more on, major core gameplay inovations that put the game far and above what a third person shooter is generally thought to be. I get the impression that your looking for a more streamlined experience with requests of co-op, less guns, and "sight cones" but such alterations would only undermind the magic that flows through metal gear. Appreciate what makes its gameplay unique and enthralling instead of wishing for it to remove everything that makes it unique and enthralling.

Hey hey guys, let's not start blindly defending it. He brought up good points. LIke the cutscenes. Personally I thought MGS started losing it's touch after 2. And the characters in 3 and 4 and definetely Peace Walker feel extremely tacked on, and I think the camo thing could have been implemented way better.
