Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was given a closed doors demonstration this past E3- something that Kojima apparently feels very sad about, but also feels is unavoidable, since the game’s scope makes it impossible to be properly understood unless enough time is spent on it.
“On Twitter though, he hinted that he might just show off the demo this upcoming Thursday.”
“E3 gameplay demo received much better than expected. It was closed-door & video shooting wasn’t allowed so it hasn’t been revealed yet. Wanna see? TPP is free open world game, it’s hard to give u a presentation. The more u get hands on, the more u get to know such freedom & amusement,” he tweeted.
“With that said, it’s disadvantage to show it in limited time at the show unlike Linear game that can be presented like a movie preview. I shall ask Tan if he’s available Thursday to show off.”
In fact he confirmed that it will be happening during the latest Kojima Station episode. “Tomorrow at Kojima Station (7pm JPT), we will show you the actual MGSVTPP gameplay demo(PS4). Pls note the presentation will be in English. TPP gameplay presentation (30mins) equivalent to what we showed in E3 that only 600-800 people had witnessed. Will be at Kojima Station tmrw!”
