Metro 2033: “It’s not a horror game”

Posted By | On 05th, Mar. 2010

THQ today stated that Metro 2033 is not a simple horror game, and in fact uses aspects from many genres.

“Metro has horror elements, but it’s not a ‘horror’ game,” producer Huw Beynon told VG247 in an interview.

“I hope when people finally get their hands on it they’ll see it’s greater than the sum of its parts. And there are a lot of parts.”

Despite a ghostly new trailer being released recently (below), THQ has said that the game’s real success relies on it’s narrative.

Metro 2033 releases for 360, PS3 and PC on March 16th in the US, and March 19th in Europe.
