"Havok was owned by Intel so your first paragraph is dumb."

The only dummy here is you. Why would Intel keep a hold of a tech that don't marry well in their portfolio at this time? They themselves most likely had acquired Havok in the beginning to raise the value of it. But how far can they take that tech when their core business in NOT gaming? Leave that to the experts and right now the buck stops @ MSFT, where all sorts of gaming innovations are happening. Don't believe me, just read the real news outside of these click bait articles and you'll see....IF YOU WANT TO.

"why would Microsoft buy Havok"

One example, to compete with NVidia PhysX, which Nvidia themselves purchase form AGEIA Technologies, Inc. in 2008. See how that works? Business deals happen all the time. Nvidia since then had evolved that tech the same way MSFT will evolve Havok when they integrate it fully with their other gaming technologies. I'm thinking XBLCloud, and why the h3ll not?

"try to calm down fanboy"

Are you for real? 0.O You sign in as multiple individuals on one thread, just to troll Xbox gamers. You're xbotMK1, and archfiendx too. You're not fooling me! Where ever there is positive Xbox news, you're there catching feelings like some pregnant animal. You're so pathetic. LOL.

I'm calm n happy as h3ll cause I own an Xbox One! So you take it easy fanboy ;)

Truth be told Microsoft mentioned Azure and Crackdown in their announcement about the Havok acquisition. So it's safe to say they're gonna provide it as a cloud computing based tool for devs, while of course still license it to whomever. Along with their Nvidia GRID upgrade to Azure, giving studios Directx12 SDKs, and now this, who knows what these developers are doing behind doors.....their next E3 should pretty much sell the cloud as real to everybody.

Point is you troll, what you n XbotMK1 are arguing can also be applied to when Sony bought Gaikai form Online. When that happened Sony not only locked out the ability to enjoy that service w/o having to own a PS4, but they also doubled the monthly price. You guys don't think! All you do is spread hate & fear. You need to stop. Enjoy your PS4, enjoy your games! Lets talk about games! Let talk about how much we love them no matter what platform we play on.

So why would Microsoft buy Havok, when they were using Havok before they bought it instead of making their own engine?

And do try to calm down fanboy. :D
