It’s unfortunate for the few early blunders, it hurt their image for a long time. But I don’t regret it, made them way more competitive. I love how they’ve reshaped it into a must have console.

MS wanted to covert normal people. The price was too high and they didn’t come youth services that would compel normal people to buy the machine. They wanted smartphone sales numbers, forgetting smartphone have far greater utility and universal appeal.

Exactly. MS should have made Kinect optional and came in at $299-$350. Then proceeded to boot Don Matrick and implant Phil. Sales would have been much closer.

For the life of me, I don’t get why they needed to present at E3 and then watch the reaction to the Sony presentation to realize all the poor decisions. Mattrick must of had a gun to their heads, because there is no way multiple MS execs and engineers didn’t know.

There must have been at least a couple squads in MS conspiring to “Julius Caesar” that dude.

He insisted on packing in Kinect, driving up the price, and didn’t even develop any hit games for it. LOL. The add-on sapped 10% of the processing from a console that needed to add 50+% additional processing.
