This article is misleading because Phil never said they would only do multiplayer games. He basically just said that single player games are more risky and cost more, though are very important (these are just facts). Not too much flip flopping, people just tend to make misleading statements which blow up and are misinterpreted.
After all of the confusion surrounding that statement, it’s nice to have this clarification from them.
