Mighty No. 9 Can Potentially Come To Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita

Kickstarter stretch goals announced.

Mighty No. 9, the new game announced by Keiji Inafune on Kickstarter, as the spiritual sequel to Megaman, the series that is supposed to be Capcom’s signature franchise but just can’t catch a break with that company, will also come to Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita if the Kickstarter accumulates $3.5 million. That number might seem to be staggeringly high, but remember, the game already gathered $2.5 million, which was nearly three times the asking amount of $900,000, so it getting another million in four days isn’t out of the question.

Mighty No. 9 is slated for release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U in April 2015. The potential developer behind the handheld ports of the game is slated to be Abstraction Games, the studio responsible for bringing the excellent Hotline Miami to PlayStation Vita. The same studio will also be handling porting duties to Vita for the sequel.
