I am a Mod on the Mighty No 9 forum (Joseph Barone) and talked with the
producer himself. Also stated on the Mighty No 9 forum that it was not
true. There is a few news sites starting to update the information
to reflect this (http://nintendoenthusiast.com/news/mighty-no-9-physical-release-delayed/). Just trying to spread the word
