Minecraft PS4/XB1: Bigger Than PS3/X360 Version, Uses DualShock 4 Touch Pad

More details inside.

Developers of Minecraft, 4J Studios recently took to Twitter and answered a few fan questions regarding the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One versions of the popular game, talking about game world, control inputs and more.

It looks like the game on the new current gen systems, the PS4 and the Xbox One, will have a pretty large game world. It won’t be “infinite”, as 4J put it, due to space constrictions, but it will be considerably larger than the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game.

When asked about how the development of the game is going and what we can expect from its game world’s size, 4J tweeted: “Fine! Working with Sony/Microsoft on world size – not “infinite” due to save size limits, but a lot bigger than PS3/Xbox 360.”

4J Studios also talked about the PS4’s touch pad on the Dualshock 4, and about how they will make use of it in the game. “Yes, the PS4 touchpad is quite nice for navigating the Creative UI,” they said.

They also talked about Title Update 16, saying that they’re not sure when exactly it will be out, but that whenever it does release, it will include several bug fixes. They said: “Not sure yet. It will be an update to fix some of the bugs currently being found.” tweeted 4J Studios when asked for an update of TU16 release date.”

Earlier it was revealed that the worlds created in the PS3 version might be transferable to the PS4 and PS Vita versions.
