REALLY?! This is probably the biggest fail in gaming to date! How can they naively underestimate the manpower needed for HD visuals when they competitors didn't have it any easier either when they were doing HD visuals for the first time also? Seriously! It'd do them good to actually pay attention at how development went along for Sony and Microsoft so Nintendo would actually be prepared for the extra work instead of the lame excuse of an obtuse underestimation of the technology-that's what competition in this industry is for and they misused it!! Hopefully they learned a hard lesson from this as this is most likely the reason why besides Pikmin 3 and Smash Bros. being delayed, ALL their first party titles have been delayed as a result which is why Nintendo has said they have unannounced games in development meaning they've all been delayed so that when they eventually announce those titles, they'll think that no one has the slightest clue that their development teams had huge complications. I really thought Nintendo was smarter than this, but this is no excuse. They might as well have just delayed the release of Wii U altogether to avoid this embarrassment but they brought it on themselves. Regardless of the fact that they didn't have any prior experience due to the fact that the Wii stayed SD, they could have done more extensive R&D to make sure they knew what was coming. This is what they get for staying behind in the graphics department. Hopefully the Nintendo Web Framework-which is obviously proprietary to the Wii U- will speed up development to create better working and better looking games. Does anyone else not see the connection as to why we haven't even had an announcement of a Nintendo Direct as of late? If I'm wrong and hating on Nintendo too much-though I still want their games-please let me and I'll readdress the concern this brings to their games and their business. DOUBLE FACEPALM! NO! Make that a triple.
