That's because master chief collection would not fit on one blu Ray disc. 45gb is max usable space and master chief collection is 61.5gb

I'm not talking about patches that add content, I'm talking about huge patches that are just for fixing stuff, and there are a bunch of those - rushed games that clearly should have been "patched" before they ever came out.

This 20gb patch you are referring to was actually drop down to 15gb at launch, and was content. They filled a Blu-ray Disc up to 45gb and still needed more space in order to add extra content, so instead of making it a 2nd disc, they made it a download, just so you are aware.

The entire single player campaign was playable without the patch, the majority of the multiplayer needed to be downloaded because it didn't fit on the disc. If I was asked to download a 15gb patch for more content then a disc would allow I would be all for it

That's a TINY patch, there's nothing wrong with tweaking a game slightly. We're talking about 20 gig patches here and broken games, not a game like the Last of Us which clearly is a quality product. Read the article again next time if you don't comprehend it the first time.

Yup, this is something I've been wanting to talk about for a while now.

It REALLY went too far in my book with Battlefield 4. They had the audacity to release something THAT broken (and 9 months after launch when I finally buy it figuring it was fixed by then, it was STILL broken...I STILL cannot complete the 1 player - it keeps deleting my game-save...so I sold it!), and then they did NOTHING to truly say sorry to fans. At LEAST give a discount on one of the DLC's, to show you're truly sorry for your BIG mistake.

At least with Assassin's Creed Unity they gave fans free DLC + canceled the season pass.

At least with Driveclub they gave away more free DLC than was already planned.

But still...these devs are making a lot of mistakes - have some pride in your work - STOP releasing games before they have the content in them that gamers want... gamers have had enough of it and I definitely won't be buying BF: Hardline at launch just because I am hesitant to buy something from a company that is now known for releasing stuff before testing it enough. Yes, I know the beta is starting Feb. 3rd.. I still don't trust them to release a quality product even if a beta of a small portion of the game goes well. Everyone who bought BF4 and wanted a refund definitely deserves 1... if you can't even beat the 1 player, and 1 of the online modes is broken (Defuse mode), then you're selling people broken games. And that aint gonna work anymore with gamers speaking up on social media moreso these days and spreading the word like I do.

And finally someone sticks up for the gamers, thanks ND. Nobody wants to DL these crazy 20gb patches, even 5gb patches are pushing it... especially for the millions of people who dont have a super fast internet connection. It's like these game devs aren't gamers themselves... they have no idea what the gamers want, and it's sad. Time to get a clue already or risk your game getting very bad publicity from now on.
