Excessive heat stressed the solder joints on the CPU and GPU which are connected to the poorly made X-Clamp= RROD. But why have so much heat build-up in the first place for that too happen? With good heat dissipation that wouldn’t have taken place at all, hence why I believed an extra year could have allowed a fix to take place to stop RROD.

It wasn’t just bad solder as pointed out above. It was poor design due to lack of heat dissipation. We could even add the disc drive fault in 360’s that scratched game discs. But like I said, I’ll rather wait than rush going by MS past history of console problems just because they believed Sony would be releasing a console at a certain date☺

RROD issues was bad solder. Extra year wouldn’t of fixed that

Microsoft chose a November 2005 release date because they thought Sony would ship their PS3 around that time ( and was wrong ) as PS3 released much later. If MS released at a later date maybe the RROD issues people faced wouldn’t have taken place. Rather wait and have no issues than an early release.

360 wasnt early it was sony that was late

These days, it seems like I spend more time downloading & installing patches and driver updates than actually playing anything. Kind of like a zombie going through the motions. NBA2K (and NFL2K) was one of my favorite series, so I always buy a copy by Black Friday.
