NBA 2K21 Extended Trailer Promises Only 2 Second Load Times On PS5

That's a slam dunk.

Today we got both our first look at Sony’s PS5, as well as a host of different titles that we can play on the system in the near future. There was quite an interesting mix of titles, from AAA blockbusters to smaller scale titles, but you knew they had to sneak in a sports game in there, which this did with NBA 2K21. The game was featured to come out this Fall, as usual, but an extended trailer makes big promises for the PS5 version shown off.

Not long after the PS5 show, 2K uploaded an extended trailer featuring New Orleans Pelicans’ Zion Williamson and Visual Concepts’ Greg Thomas. After they talk a little, we get a 2 second loading time, with Thomas promising that’s how long loading would be on the PS5 version of the game.

Part of the praise centered on the SSDs for the new systems, especially the PS5, is its reduced loading, and that sure is a big jump if that ends up being accurate to the final product. NBA 2K21 is also set to release on all other major platforms.
