New Black Ops 2 trailer to air during Champions League final

As if the prospect of a fist-fight between David Luiz and Franck Ribéry, or John Terry falling flat on his arse wasn’t enough, a brand-spanking new Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 trailer will air at some point during the Champions League final, between Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Activision plan to air the trailer at half-time, but at this point it is unknown what the trailer entails, most likely another cinematic to set the tone of the game.

This news comes after Black Ops 2 pre-orders are set to break the records established by Modern Warfare 3, despite a very limited advertising campaign so far. According to Amazon, Black Ops 2 pre-orders are treble those of Black Ops in 2010.

Eric Hirshberge, CEO of Activision Publishing stated that he  was “incredibly pleased” with Black Ops 2 pre-orders thus far, “which in the first week since reveal are tracking ahead of the record-breaking pace set by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3”.
