I liked playing the first game, but always felt hindered and rushed by the ever-draining thermal energy meter. I really wanted to explore a bit more and take my time, but couldn’t. Looks like this has been eliminated in the second game due to the warmer climate, with thermal energy only being used by VS’s and energy weapons. I can understand that…

I did have fun taking out one of the giant snow worm things, though. That was a battle to remember…

Lost Planet 2 looks like a great game and actually capcom is one of the few companies left that are not saturating the market with a game every year

Sorry, but I’m not blown away. Not that it doesn’t look good, but it’s fairly standard looking nowadays.

Personally, I think Uncharted 2 has superior graphics — one of the few games where I actually stopped to look at the scenery.
