Super Smash Bros. is a really interesting franchise. In a sense, it’s a way for Nintendo to reinforce their signature character branding, while also gauging the relevance of those characters to ever-changing demographics of gamers. As the interactive Wii fit is one of the more touted features of the system, it’s no surprise that the Wii fit trainer will appear in the next Super Smash Bros., set to release in 2014.
In this latest addition to the series, most of our favorite and most recognized characters from every successful Nintendo franchise will be returning, with the additions of a few new characters – one of whom will be Mega Man. Oh yes, get excited.
The game is set to release across both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Unfortunately, according to the reps at Nintendo, there will be no cross platform play between the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game.
