Show me a scene with as large a variety of props as a typical interior scene from CoD: Black Ops, and with animations objects and characters, and I'll be truly impressed. Before then I frankly don't believe this stuff is viable as the only solution to game graphics.

That said, using this kind of tech for *some parts* of a game could be very reasonable. Unless my memory betrays me, Crysis 1 was mainly polygon based but used voxels for something (distant mountains, at a guess). So developments of this kind is always interesting and potentially fruitful!

Looks like screenshots lifted from the old Jurassic Park 'Trespasser' game from the late 90's.

In other words, pretty poor!

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find that any of these images look anywhere near lifelike - they all sort of look, well, odd. Something about them just doesn't jive with me. It's like some sort of 'Uncanny Valley' for shrubbery & rocks.

Ever hear of the phrase "Too good to be true?" This tech looks pretty, but it's static. None of those voxels can move. You'll note in the video that they show no animation.
