A Microsoft representative stated..."Kinect motion detection continues to be available for Kinect-enabled
games, biometric sing-in, and video calls with Skype for Xbox One". BUT still leaves a feature being removed that people bought the Xbone for..lol

Oh and yes you're right... I wouldn't buy an Xbone after the way MS wanted to take gaming as we knew it away from us. Not allowing to share games, not allowed to sell our games to anyone else, not allowed to play offline, Kinect always on with always online, etc etc..

Granted MS had no choice but to change policies after the backlashing they received from the public and media but still I wouldn't buy that product knowing MS wanted to kill gaming as we knew it.

( I have supported MS with XBOX / 360 since day one releases ) and am still a gold member using 360 to this day BUT I will not support MS by buying their Xbone product due to the above reason and so many more. And to be honest I'm not the only one doing so when looking at sales from both MS and Sony consoles.

I believe due to the original MS policies and their poor decisions over Xbone it was a sinking ship even before it was released into the world. And IMO Xbone has lost its identity due to many policy changes just like the above features being removed, ect

Remember when Xbox's UK marketing director Harvey Eagle has said that the console will not function without Kinect connected. "Kinect does require to be connected to Xbox One in all cases, yes," he said. ( So not true ☺ )

MS dropped the ball with this when selling Xbone without Kinect because when you think of it a lot of the user Interface that's built to work around it stops. Now after this feature being removed ( unless using a game of watching a movie ) Xbone just become an Xbox360 with a blu-ray drive☺
