Id tech 5 now has sum serious competetion. Cry engine 3 is pumpin sum great visuals as well. Our eyeballs r gonna b very happy over the next few yrs.

It’s all in how the developers use the engine and there is a ton of potential in Unreal, it still feels like everything is in the same universe. The character from the Unreal 3 showcase at least looked normal in terms of design, usually its all roided up looking Marcus clones that everyone uses with this engine. Glad I’m a PC gamer first, cause we’ll see the fruits of this engine long before consoles will.

You should also check out Cryeks FarCry 3 engine – that is equally amazing

I find most games that use the unreal engine to have samey bland graphics, although Bulletstorm was beautiful and colourful which made a nice change!

WOW… that really is astounding, its like watching that major high budget CG Final Fantasy film that they made a few years back, maybe they can finally make Killing Time and please all the PS3 fans they disappointed at the time after all the graphic capabilities are clearly there now.

I got to say I have seldom been as impressed in my entire life as I was watching that clip, gaming really has stepped it up a gear recently.
