It would take a lot of resources and effort to market and promote these new consoles, and doing this could also hurt their positions in the gaming market, especially if Red Ring problems occur (2013 sounds like a rush territory for new consoles and this could be a possibility if they are released now).

And by the way nintendo have been trying to make new franchises, it’s just that they never, and yeah nintendo rehashes a lot of their existing franchises but at least they take the time and effort into making one each fresh and new control wise and even visually, I mean look at wind waker and then twilight princess there so different you can pass them as 2 completely different game if it were for the word zelda in it… You think that the ps vita is more popular amongst developers than the 3ds, oh yeah good Jk, the only developer that are make games for system are Sony or capcom, the vita only has 46 games while the 3ds has has over150 and if u think nintendo would do pay to have monster hunter 4 on the 3ds then your pretty wrong the only reason it’s on the system is because the franchise sell better on nintendo hardware, and last sorry to say this but vita is a flop and its make Sony lose money big time as they get no profit from it cause they made the hardware to powerful, in all essence and most may not agree but one consoles gotta go and it’s Sony, the next generation will be wii u, Durango/720 and streams new console but who’s knows I could.be wrong, I’m just saying Sony not in the best spot at the moment
